Dixie L. Blechman Pollard, 63, of Wagontown, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. She was the beloved wife of Larry Pollard with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Paul Blechman of Christiana, PA and the late Evelyn Stanley Blechman.

Dixie was an area resident all her life. She enjoyed playing bingo at several local establishments but most of all loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by one daughter Hope Marie Been and husband Walt of Coatesville, four grandchildren; Christian, Nathan, Aidan and Evalyn and three sisters; Judi Berkheimer of Coatesville, Paula Ferris of Downingtown and Debbie Warner of Coatesville. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 with Pastor Michael Stitzel officiating. Interment will follow at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in East Fallowfield, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10 to 11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Wilde Funeral Home at the above address to help defray funeral expenses.

I want to say I am so sorry for your loss. She was a remarkable woman and did care for many people. When she found out my late husband passed she picked up the phone and called me. We had so many talks. She was a awesome person and is loved by many and will be missed by many. We love you Dixie !!! RIP

I meant Dixie through the passing of her Nephew David Berkheimer , we immediatley became friends she was a caring , loving person who spoke many times to me about her love for Daughter Hope & Grandchildren , her Husband Larry , her sisters , Dad & family and friends , she had told me stories about her younger days & that she enjoyed singing , also sharing her love for Bingo :) although I only knew her a few years our conversations fealt as I knew her a life time , she will be sadly missed . My deepest Condolences to her family may her  beautiful smile & her loving ways bring you peace.  Heaven gained a Beautiful Angel & I am honored to call her my friend never goodbye but until we meet again my friend .

My heart feels like it is in a million pieces right now, Dixie wasn't just my cousin and best friend but she was like a sister to me..  I loved her dearly and keep all our memories in my heart.

My heart goes out to Larry and Hope and her family...Dixie will be missed more than words can say.
