Dad I for one will miss you very very much. I will miss our talks on the phone and when I came over to visit. You have taught me so many things and have always been here for me through my life.. Know that you will always be in my heart as well as you have made on my Kids lives. Not sure what I'm gonna do with the  pumpkin pies this year but I guess I'll have to eat them myself. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to be there for you for your last journey home. Love you always, Cheryl

From a son to a father to a grandfather and than to a great grandfather you have shown what love is. You have many times shown its not about who you are as a person but what you love doing. You loved helping anyway you could. You always put family first. We could always count on you to be there and tell us what we needed to hear. Thank you for taking me in as family and loving me like you did your grandchildren. It wont be the same without you but youre in a better place. No more suffering! With tears in my eyes im saying goodbye....not forever cause one day we will see you again. Love you sooo much grandpop!

I grew up with Darrel, along with Louis and Richard, in Atglen.  Many wonderful childhood memories.  Sending condolences to his family in this very sad time.

I'm glad to be a part of this great family. Darrel treated me like one of his daughters. I remember Libby and I growing up and asking Darrel for permission to do something and him being firm with us both just like I was his own. I can remember the sleep overs at his house and him making me part of the family. Darrel and my father Albert enjoyed each others friendship. The Gibson's and the Pittman's were a crew back in the day. We had so may memorable times in that Atglen house. I'm just so glad I was part of it and now have all those great memories. I can remember when little Darrel was born aka Bubby. Darrel was the happiest mad on the earth he finally got his son. Now his family was complete. 3 wild and crazy girls and one baby boy for all of us to love and boy we did and still do.

I was so glad that I got to be with the family during Darrel's last hrs. I want to thank the Gibson family for including me. To my best friend Libby and the rest of my family remember Darrel lives in your hearts every day and GOD'S promise is true that one day we'll see Darrel again. O and Darrel thanks for trying to keep Libby and I straight believe it or not some of it did work. I'll miss you but will see you when I get called home.

Darrel was such a nice man. I remember coming to pick Libby up to just go out and drive around. He was alway there and would talk to me. I never understood why he let her go with me to Florida for Memorial Day weekend. He must have trusted me more than I thought. He will be missed alot.
