I had the honor of serving in the American Legion Post 475 with Bill for several years. Bill and I attended many events together and I can honestly tell you that no one lit up a room like room like Bill. Children were drawn to him at the school assemblies we went to. He was ceremonially honored at the Downingtown Memorial Day parade a few years ago and he loved every minute of it. Bill was so full of life and was still driving into his 90’s. Bill Martz was truly a wonderful man and I’m thrilled our paths crossed. Anchors Aweigh my dear friend!!!

Don & Ed,

My thoughts are with you during these difficult times.  Bill was always great to be around; pleasant, smiling, and always helping others.  I had the pleasure of helping Bill with Usher duties at the Church, watching him greet each parishioner with joy and happiness.  He truly lived with the Spirit of God, and will now be joining the Almighty in Heaven.  God Bless you and your families.

Our condolences to the Martz family. Bill & I worked together at Lukens Steel Co. Bill also did a great job as our S.O.A.R. Chapter 7`4 recording secretary until his health forced him to give up the position. He was a great guy and we are all going to miss him. We will keep your family in our prayers. Sincerely, Clyde & Lisa Lowe.

I just want to let everybody know how special Mr. Martz was. He would take his kids and me roller skating every Friday night . Not a short trip there and back. He took us all the way to Exton. He would drop us off and then come back hours later and take us home. treated me like one of his own kids. When my father had lung cancer Mr. Martz would stop in and ask if there was anything he could do to help. This man is no doubt in Heaven. Thank you Kathy and Ruth for sharing him with a lot of people.
