Robert Leroy Mummery

Robert Leroy Mummery, 84, of Royersford, PA, formerly of Westwood, died due to complications of pneumonia, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Westwood, PA, he was the son of the late William F. and Mary Pierce Mummery.

He was a resident for the past three years at the Parkhouse, Providence Pointe Nursing Center in Royersford where he enjoyed participating in all their social activities.

Bob had been employed by West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia retiring in 1999. He was a life member of the Westwood Volunteer Fire Company where he served for many years as a fire policeman. He also loved fishing and singing.

He is survived by two nieces; Joan E. Mower of Royersford, PA and Miriam Bickle and husband Bob of King of Prussia, great nephew William Dean Mower of Pottstown, PA and his fiance Jacquelyn Powers, great niece Debbie Sweigart and husband Ron of Coatesville and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Paul, Pete, Bill and Roland Mummery and one sister Edythe Seredinski.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:30am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10:30 to 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Westwood Fire Company, 1403 Valley Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.
