Rita M. Kelnock, 89, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at her daughter's home, under the care of Crossroads Hospice. She was the widow of the late Joseph Kelnock who passed away in 1990 after they had shared 36 years of marriage.
Born in Shamokin, Pa., Rita was the daughter of the late Anna and George Hepler. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church
Rita enjoyed attending the Coatesville Area Senior Center, where her knack for solving puzzles and crossword puzzles were well-known. She enjoyed shopping and making Polish/Ukrainian food from scratch. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time and especially holidays with her beloved family.
She is survived by her two children: Michael Kelnock and Ann Maria Abokoia; grandchildren, William Kelnock, Nicole Kelnock, and Walter Bird; and great-grandchildren, Jasmine McGriff, Ryan McGriff, and Athena Rose. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph David Kelnock.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pa. 19365 with a viewing from 10 until 11 AM. Interment will follow at Upper Octorara Cemetery in Parkesburg.
