Lorena B. Harrington, 85, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at home.
Born in West Chester on January 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. and Minnie Eaby Brittingham.
On August 22, 1948, she married William J. Harrington who preceded her in death in August 2009.
Lorena was a 1944 graduate of Unionville High School.
She was a member of Wagontown Union Chapel for many years.
Lorena enjoyed being with her friends and family. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and reading her Bible daily.
Lorena was employed by the Chester County Recorder of Deeds for over 34 years and was the First Deputy Recorder.
Surviving her is her daughter, Donna Kneib and her husband Richard of Coatesville. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Brittingham and his wife Karlene of West Chester.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michael, Timothy of Coatesville and Kristin Herr of Mountville, and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Herr of Mountville; and her nieces and nephews.
Lorena was predeceased by a brother Vernon Brittingham and a sister, Corinne Eachus.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Saturday, December 22nd at 11 AM at the Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 West Kings Highway, Coatesville, Pa, followed by interment at the Forks of the Brandywine Presbyterian Cemetery. The viewing will be from 10 AM until 11 AM at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200 Wagontown, PA 19376 or to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 East Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
