Jean Collins

Jean Collins, 87, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday November 22, 2008 at her home at the Harrison Senior Living Center in Coatesville. She was the wife of the late Eugene "Mike" Collins and her first husband the late Warren W. Root. Born in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Retta Ginithan Middaugh. Jean graduated from the Scott High School in Coatesville and lived in the area most of her life. She was a member of the Towerville Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter; Penny, wife of Blake LeFevre of Cedar City, Utah, three grandchildren; Carl Kline and wife Kristi of Sedalia, CO., Keith Kline of Oahu, Hawaii and Christian Rider of Downingtown, one great grandchild Kenadie Kline of CO., former son-in-law Joseph Rider and wife Terry of Downingtown who were like a daughter and son to her. She was preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie R. Rider in 1989.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 26, 2008 at 11 AM at the Towerville Christian Church, 10 Hannum Drive, East Fallowfield, PA 19320 followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing which will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8:00pm at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA and also at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am to the time of the service.

The family wanted to especially thank the nursing staff at Harrison Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for the professional care that was proved for Jean.
