James Lee Stanley, 55, of Atglen, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of James Lee Stanley Jr. of Delaware and the late Anna Stella Thompson Stanley.

Jim had worked for Zeke's Heating and Air Conditioning in Pomeroy. He also worked for Leroy's Snowmobiles in Cochranville.  Growing up, he and his brother worked on their grandfather's dairy farm and would help milk the cows before and after school. They both rode motorcycles and snowmobiles on the farm.

One time he won a snowmobile race in Potato City, PA, against former NFL player, Joe Kleco, who wore his NFL helmet.  When he crossed the finish line Jim hit his nitrous oxide button on his snowmobile and proceeded to pop a wheelie the length of a football field.

Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and could fix about anything.  He was a big Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved watching superhero movies. He was a great guy, an awesome brother, and to his family he was Superman.

He is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Burkey, a granddaughter, Kenley Burkey, a brother, Andrew (Jackie) Stanley, and nephews, Travis and Branden Stanley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be sent to the Christiana Methodist Church, 14 S. Bridge St. Christiana, PA 17509.
