James "Arnold" Young, 77, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009. He was the husband of Linda Young, with whom he would have shared 41 years of marriage today.
Born in Burke's Garden, Va., he was the son of the late Stella and Homer Young. He was a 1952 graduate of the Unionville High School. He was employed as a Cowboy for the King Ranch, retiring in 1984. He served honorably in the US Army and was a member of the P.H.A. and the N.R.A. He enjoyed fox hunting.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two children: Douglas of Florida and Glenna of Downingtown; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Russell Young of Coatesville, Graham Young of West Grove, Harold Young of Fairhill, Guy Young of Ohio, Elwood Young of Coatesville, Catherine "Kitty" Daniels of Coatesville and Lois Leslie of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tami Sweigart and his siblings, Helen, Mary Ann and Norma.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the old sanctuary at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield, PA. The interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church from 9 until 11 AM.

West Grove, PA 19390.

All the horse knowledge Arnold shared with us and all his "King Ranch" stories that he proudly shared with us makes us feel honored and very lucky to have known him. We wish to express our sincerest sympathy to your family at this time. My two daughters, Alex, Lindsay, and myself only just met Arnold out foxhunting with West Bradford last year. He was such a gentleman and full of knowledge on foxhunting and horses. Know that he left a great legacy for his friends.
