Isabel C. Jones

Isabel C. Jones, 96, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Harrison Senior Living Center of Coatesville, where she had resided for the past four years. She was the widow of the late William Alford Jones.

Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Leroy and Viola Jackson States.

An area resident her entire life, she was a member of the Ercildoun Church of Christ, where she participated in the Ladies Bible Class and the Singing Class. She had been employed at the former Embreeville Hospital and the V.A. Medical Center, in the Dietary Dept.

She is survived by her nephews and nieces; her sisters-in-law, Ida Williams of Eastville, Va., Pauline States of Parkesburg, Carrie States of West Chester, Lucy Searles of East Fallowfield and Barbara Jones of Whittier, N.C. She was predeceased by five siblings: Roberta Ruth, Thelma Boddy, Melvin, Leroy and John States.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Ercildoun Church of Christ, 750 Doe Run Road, East Fallowfield followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at the Church from 9:00 a.m. to the time of the service.
