Irene Bachman

Irene Bachman, 100, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on September 15, 2022.  Born in Roanoke, IL, on August 23, 1922, she was the youngest child of D. Ralph and Caroline (Erkman) Harvey.  She enjoyed her role as a homemaker all of her married life.  She was also active in teaching children's Sunday School classes at church in Illinois.

On December 12, 1947, she married Charles Bachman in parent's home.  They built a house next to his parents and that's where they lived for 40 years, before moving to Pennsylvania.  Charles predeceased Irene on March 11, 2005.  She was also predeceased by a brother and two sisters.  She was a member of Sandy Hill Community Church in Coatesville, PA, where she and Chuck had many friends.

Irene is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Byron) Lyon of York, PA, and Cheryl (Glenn) King of New Holland, PA.  She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A private burial service will be held at the Sandy Hill church cemetery.
