Hurlbert L. White

Hurlbert L. White, 68, of Akron, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Ephrata Community Hospital.  He was the widower of the late Donna (Myers) White, who passed away in 2002.  
 
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Helen White and the late William White.  
 
Hurlbert served honorably with the US Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
 
He worked as a Truckdriver for Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown and as a part-time Police Officer for Valley and South Coatesville.  
 
He is survived by his five children: Bert Mize, husband of Brenda, of Coatesville, Rodney Mize, husband of Shawn, of Atglen, Lisa White of Sadsburyville, Tina Morgan, wife of Charlie, of Modena and Karen Rosa, wife of Rob, of Michigan; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and three brothers and three sisters.
 
He was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Boyer. 
 
The Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery.  The viewing will be held from 10 until 11 AM.
