Hudson Beard, 83, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at the Paoli Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Emma L. Frame Beard with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Cochranville, he was the son of the late Ralph Barlow and Nellie Mae Beard.
Hudson was an area resident all his life and a graduate of the former Fallowfield High School in Cochranville. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959.
Hudson was employed by the former Quad Graphics Corp. of Atglen. After retirement, he worked as a bus driver for Krapf.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Vicci Eidell, and husband Barry, of Pottstown, Melissa Beard, and companion Mark Miller, of Coatesville, Bryon Beard and wife Kriss of Caln, and Shawnté Wilson of Coatesville, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and seven siblings; Harold Beard, Nancy Cook, Kary Beard, Eugene Beard, Lillian Frank, Lawrence Beard, and Joanne Martin. He was preceded in death by one son Robert Beard and siblings, Shirley Rohrer, Marvel St. Andrassy, Emerson Beard, Earl Beard, Dale Beard, Melvin Beard.
Funeral and burial services will be private due to the current quarantine situation in the United States. Public Memorial Services will be scheduled and announced at a later date and time.
