Howard Lee "Sonny" Stone Jr., 78, of Gordonville, PA, passed away at his home on Friday, September 29, 2023.  Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Howard Lee Sr. and Margaret J. Simms Stone

Sonny attended the Octorara Schools and was a production worker at the Paper Mill.

He is survived by his siblings, Raymond Stone, Aleah Donkewicz, Zelda Seese, Susan McCaffary, Barbara Cummings, and Madelyn Gibson, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by siblings Florence Sheer, Betty Phillips, William Stone Sr., Mary Cummings, and Georgia Root.

After the passing of William Stone Sr. Sonny filled in to be the father and grandfather to William's children and grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:00 noon from the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, 2237 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, PA.

I'm gonna miss you so much Uncle Sonny, can't believe your gone. I'll miss all the times we hung out together at Uncle Bobby's or in Quarryville,even when I wasn't in the family anymore,you never let that change anything ❤️RIP

Sonny was such a nice, happy, kind man... my dad and he were friends when I was growing up. Rest in peace

Even though I didn't know Uncle Sonny personally, I know he held a special place in his family's hearts.  My condolences to you all as you treasure the special memories and everyday moments and as you mourn your loss.  May you find the strength to do both of those; prayers for you all.
