Henry Francis Ziemak
Henry Francis Ziemak, 78, a lifelong resident of Coatesville, passed away suddenly, surrounded by loving family.
Henry was born at home on August 15, 1932, the youngest son of the late Benjamin and Anna Szczepura Ziemak. He was a graduate of Scott Senior High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. Henry worked in the machine shop at Lukens Steel Company, retiring after 38 years of service.
An avid outdoors man, Henry hunted and fished in places as far as Alaska, Wyoming and Canada. He recounted many humorous and interesting stories of those experiences with his "buddies."
A talented "Mr. Fix-It", Henry helped family and friends with their home projects and mechanical repairs. A man who loved life and enjoyed every minute of it, he was very generous and unselfish with his time, treasure and talent.
Henry was a well-read, insightful and animated conversationalist. His humor and big personality will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by his brothers Benjamin and Edmond Ziemak.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Eva Cecilia Gerhart and his nephew Benjamin Gerhart, with whom he resided; his niece Judith Gerhart Benne, her husband, Sam and their daughter, Lauren; his nephew David Gerhard and wife Fenny. I
In addition, Henry is survived by his sister-in-law, Jeanne Ziemak, nephew Michael Ziemak and his wife Debbie, and their sons, Edmond, Mitchell and Michael.
Finally, he is survived by special cousins: Louella and Wally MacHenry, Jacqueline Milanese and family, Debbie and Drew Myers and their daughter Regina, and Frank and Pamel Root, and their son, Trevor. Along with his family, Henry touched many lives, especially his loyal group of longtime friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Henry's memory to the charity of your choice.
