Helen L. Pyott, 90, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, May 1st, 2020 at her home, under the care of her family. She was the widow of the late William P. Pyott Sr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
Born in Modena, Helen was the daughter of the late Nellie (Mayshaw) and George Wallace. She was a Methodist by faith.
Helen had worked as a motel manager in Florida for 10 years and at a Bed and Breakfast in Strasburg for four years.
Helen was a member of the Red Hatter Society. She and her husband traveled all throughout the United States in their RV, even driving to Alaska. More recently, she enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and traveling to Wildwood and Cape May.
She is survived by her children, William P. Pyott of Lancaster, Thomas G. Pyott of Parkesburg, and Gary Pyott of Florida; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Donald Wallace.
A private graveside service will take place at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery.
