George Young
George was a wonderful custodial staff member in the middle school of Octorara. He took care of all of us. We were fortunate to have him on the staff. My heart and prayers are with him.
Rest Easy George
I came on here because an classmate of mine had passed. Mr. George was a good guy and dedicated to his job. When I was middle school watching George taught you how to respect people and never give up. Rest Easy.

Remembering George
Great memories of a very faithful servant! He was so kind and funny and a gentle soul that I respected when I was younger and knew him from the Parkesburg Baptist church . His family also knew my grandmother and my family. He was a strong role model and never complained . Sometimes it may have been difficult to understand his speech but that didn’t matter and he was very special . God’s follower and inspiration to others. Will be making a big splash in Heaven and serving there too🙏💕😍
George courageously accepted
George courageously accepted whatever life presented to him. He was truly a servant of God. We will truly miss him.
Deepest sympathy
What a legacy to our Parkesburg and Octorara community. George touched so many lives. I remember him as a kind & caring custodian. Most treasured memories are of George walking down Third Avenue with a bible in his hand. Always sharing God’s love. God is our refuge and strength. Keep good memories close to your heart.
Geroge Young
George, my best friend since 2nd grade and our exchange of best man roles at our weddings. I could fill a small book about our times together ( but no one would read it). Your friendship and faith meant so much to me. I hope to meet you again, free of your infirmities, in the presence of Jesus.
George
I have so many memories of George in 6th grade. David told me so much about him over the years. He was quite the character. Sad to say David died on May 26, 2025 after several years of worsening Alzheimer’s. Hope life has been good to you.
George Young
My first memory of George was at Tel Hai. George sat with Barbara and read to her from his Bible. What a gift! Today we praised God and celebrated the life of George Young. I believe George would approve.
Rest in Peace my childhood friend
I remember G W from nearly the beginning. When we moved to Factoryville in 1952, his dad was our pastor. G W struggled with his Cerebral Palsy but all of us helped him whenever we could. He got a lot of help from Judy F. and Bob S. He joined right in with all of the BYF activities. Yes, he could really clobber a soft ball! In 2006 while on vacation in PA, we got to visit G W and Barbara. Since that time, we have talked on the phone a couple of times and he has sent notes which I treasure. G W was an inspiration to all of us. His physical challenges are over now and he is with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend.
