Gaynell Rebecca Middleton, 73, of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Seasons Hospice Center in Phoenixville, PA. She was the wife of the late Willard B. Middleton, Sr. They shared over 20 years of marriage together. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Taltoan and Olive Miller Taltoan.
Gaynell lived in Coatesville and Philadelphia all her life. She was employed by the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville and most recently by the Coatesville VA Medical Center in the nutritional services department. She was a member of the Bernardtown Baptist Church.
Gaynell had no birth children but she was a Mother to all those she met who were in need. She treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.
She is survived by five siblings; Irene Johnson and husband Sterling of Philadelphia, Sherman H. Taltoan of Paoli, PA, Larry Taltoan and wife Mary of Coatesville, Helen Middleton and husband Willard, Jr. of Coatesville and David Taltoan of Coatesville, her "bonus children"; Charlotte Rokins and husband Louis of Coatesville, Faith Turner and husband David of Coatesville, Joanne Trammell of Atlanta, Georgia, Kenneth Middleton and wife Kiesha of Jacksonville, FL, William B. Middleton (caregiver) of Coatesville, Arthur Middleton of Coatesville, Mai-Ling Middleton of South Carolina and special friend Keith Parks of Coatesville.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. The interment service will follow immediately after the viewing at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery, Atglen, PA.

My deepest sympathy to the rest of the family. The thing that will always stay with me as I think on the 20yrs that I've known Aunt Gaynell is that she always asked about me. For many of those years I was just the girlfriend of her nephew, but she always made me feel welcome. I will always remember that.
