Condolences
Frank H. Root
Frank, I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Please extend my heart felt sympathies to your family. I am about to paraphrase an Irish blessing (let's hope I'm not breaking any cosmic laws being that I'm NOT Irish but here goes): Life is short. We do not have much time to gladden the hearts of those who travel with us. So be quick to love, make haste to be kind and may the peace of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be upon you now and with you always.
Cathy
Frank and Debbie, Sorry to
Frank and Debbie, Sorry to read about your Dad, I remember many good times right down the street at your house, and both your parents letting us " The Pechin Girls" , come down almost always. My prayers are with both of your families. God Bless. Patti
good men and neighbors
Frank/Debbie, how gloriously bittersweet to commemorate the first day of Spring with such significance. I don't recall meeting your father in person, but may well have; through you I know he was a loving Dad and responsible parent. He was a man who helped create the community my family knew and I was raised in. My sister Karen, worked as an E.M.T with Brandywine. Every neighbor worked at Lukens in our tiny five home cluster/section of "Goosetown" on Caln Road where we lived. The steel company's generous scholarship program put my youngest brother, Anthony, through Drexel as an engineer. My parents moved to Lancaster from Caln Road about five years ago but I still enjoy driving through East Fallowfield when I am going to Wilmington or West Chester to see other sibs.
We all have memories of Ingleside and the diner that was such a landmark for years. It's hard for me to grasp that he graduated from my high school just five years after my Mom was born... I hope his later years were matched in joy with your presence
