Eugene F. "Gene" DeCarlo, Sr.

Eugene "Gene" F. De Carlo, Sr., 83, of Honey Brook, passed away at the Garden of Grace Hospice Unit at the VA Medical Center, Coatesville on Monday, November 24, 2014.
Born in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Dominic and Mildred (Nyce). 
He attended Coatesville Area Schools and was employed by the Foote Mineral Company for 40 years. 

He served in the US Army during the Korean War followed by 30 years of service in the US Army Reserves attaining the rank of Master Sgt.

He is survived by his sons Eugene F. DeCarlo, Jr. and Barry DeCarlo and wife Barbara of Downingtown, grandchildren; Eugene F. DeCarlo III, Elysia M. DeCarlo, Bonnie McCarraher and Erica DeCarlo and 3 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Gloria Brix, James "Sonny" DeCarlo and wife Joanne, Dominic "Buddy" DeCarlo and wife Sheree, Joan Cox and a "special" brother-in-law Frank Pratt. He was predeceased in death by his daughter Denise DeCarlo, granddaughter Monica DeCarlo and sister Marie Pratt.

The DeCarlo family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of those that supported our family throughout this time and to the staff of the Garden of Grace Hospice Unit. Your compassion and support in providing care to our loved one will always have a place in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at Philadelphia Memorial Gardens, Frazer, PA. Viewing from 9 to 10am.
