Ellen Elizabeth Miller Gordon, 84, of Parkesburg, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her home.
Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette Jackson Miller and Charles Miller. Ellen was a 1942 graduate of the Parkesburg High School. She was a 50 year member of the Parkesburg Methodist Church.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Donna K. Temple, wife of Bill, of Parkesburg, son-in-law, Kirk Nields of Christiana, sister Frances Hery of Parkesburg; grandchildren, Donald B. Hart, Dean B. Hart, Heather Nields Denlinger, Kirk - Ryan Nields; nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathy Nields, as well as two brothers and one sister.
Ellen's funeral service will be held on Tuesday evening, September 1st at 8 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held from 7 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkesburg Methodist Church, 411 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365.
