65 Years
Coatesville, Pennsylvania

Earl Dunlap went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 26, 2024. Born on June 30, 1959 in Chester County, he was the son of the late Earl M. Dunlap, Sr. and Hazel L. Dunlap.

He was a respected and cherished husband, dad, pop-pop, and friend to many. Earl had a love for Jesus Christ, his family, friends, and church family with a big heart for helping others. In his early years, he spent much of his time working on hot rods, riding dirt bikes, and enjoying the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Later he loved making frequent trips with family and friends to his cabin in Raystown and to his sister's beach cabin in Cape May, NJ.

Earl worked as a maintenance mechanic at Johnson Matthey for 40 years where he made lifelong friendships and faithfully provided for his family.

An active member of his church community, Earl found joy in helping children at Awana and sharing the message of Jesus. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he made it a point to share God's love with everyone he could. His compassion extended beyond his immediate circle, as he was also recently involved with the Manna Ministry, helping to feed those in need in his community.

Earl was a man who truly loved his family, always savoring time spent together over a good meal or a shared story. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl M. Dunlap, Sr., mother Hazel L. Dunlap, and sister, Kathie A. Heckert. He is survived by his wife Donna L. Dunlap, three sons Earl M. Dunlap III (Brittany), Zachary A. Dunlap (Jasmine), Joshua L. Dunlap, along with his grandson Easton R. Dunlap, as well as his sister Lorie E. Dunlap and his brother Lawrence J. Dunlap (Susan).

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Earl's life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New London Baptist Church, 226 Pennocks Bridge Rd., West Grove, PA 19390 followed by interment at the Glen Run Baptist Cemetery, 641 Lantz Road, Atglen, PA 19310. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New London Baptist Church at the above address.

Condolences

Donna and family… we are so sorry for your loss… Earl was a great man! While he was very quiet and laid back, you could see his love for his family and God in everything he said and did. I’m honored to have worked with him for several years in the Awana program, and he always brought a smile to my face. Our clubbers are surely going to miss him! But boy what a legacy he leaves behind! Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers! Lenna & Mark

Having known Earl, for 40 years, I can say without a
doubt, his family was most important to him. And his greatest joy was his new grandchildren. He would share pictures and stories with us at work.
Earl was a good friend to many of us. And he will be missed.

Earl truly was the best bonus dad/father-in-law I could have ever asked for. The way he loved the Lord, his family, and accepted me like I was his own daughter will be something I always hold near to my heart. What a blessing and honor it was to know and love him.

Earl and myself shared a office at work for the last couple months of his career at JM. His energy and joy was contagious. He spoke often of his boys and new grandchild and when his phone rang and I heard " Donna Dunlap" his eyes would light up with love. Earl was a great man of God and a great example for everyone around him. I smile when I picture him at the right hand of his father, worshipping him with a big Earl smile on his face. I pray for those who are mourning his loss.

Donna, Earl, Zak and Josh, we were socked at seeing the loss of a great man, being our neighbor for many years on Linda Lane, was there to help us when needed. We remember the snow shoveling he and the boys helped with.  What a great neighbor.  Your all in our prayers may God be with you always.  RIP  Earl

I worked with Earl. I didn't know him well at all, but he was always so friendly that I feel compelled to send my condolences. When you know someone is a good person without knowing much about them, it is a true testament to how bright their "Light" shines. That is certainly true in Earl's case. I am truly sorry for your loss.

My name is Keith R. Dean Sr. and I'm a maintenance electrician. I worked at JM with Earl. I'm glad that I had the pleasure of working with Earl. We became good friends and we enjoyed talking about the goodness of God at work. I only knew Earl for the 18 years that I worked there. But I know that Earl is absent from his body but he is now present with the Lord. May God bless the entire family and give you all peace in your time of sorrow, may God bless you all. I'm sorry I will not be present at the service I've present obligations. God bless.
