Dorothy S. Tindall

Dorothy S. Tindall, 84, of Honey Brook, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of Dr. Herbert L. Tindall of Honey Brook. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Mabel Murray Sensenig.

Dorothy was an area resident all her life and a 1944 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville. She continued her education and graduated in 1947 from the Brandywine School of Nursing in Coatesville. Dorothy's life long career as a registered nurse started working for Dr. Tindall, later she was employed at various VA Medical Centers, the former Coatesville Hospital and she retired from the Brandywine Hospital.

She was a member of the Brandywine Hospital Auxiliary, the AARP, the Graystone Society, Order of the Eastern Star #249, Parkesburg and Coatesville Senior Centers and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed golf, playing bridge, line dancing and traveling.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two brothers; Richard and John Sensenig both of Coatesville, Stepson Dr. Robert Tindall of Gap, Step daughters Barbara Kolk of Ashburnham, Mass. and Carol Murphy of Christiana, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Jane Bireley.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Tel Hai Chapel, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA with visitation from 10 to 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 190, Honey Brook, PA 19344.
