Dorothy Mae Franciscus, 84, of Parkesburg, died on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was the wife of the late Daniel Weaver and also the late Russell Franciscus.
Born in Glenmoore on Feb. 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Catherine Pfahler Thomas.
She had lived in the area all her life.
She was employed by the Coatesville sewing factory and then by Pepperidge Farms in the bakery department, retiring in 1986.
She was a Presbyterian by faith. She belonged to the auxiliary of the Downingtown VFW. Dorothy was a Gold Star Mother.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Barry Weaver and Darell Terry Weaver, both of Parkesburg; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Gary Weaver in 1991 and Dale Larry Weaver in 1968, and by two brothers, Harry and Charles Thomas.
Private graveside services will be held at the Fairview Presbyterian Cemetery in Glenmoore.
The arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
