Dorothy M. Thompson

Dorothy M. Thompson, 93, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community.  She was the widow of the late Harold L. Thompson, who passed away in 1999. 

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Violet Cunningham Irwin.  An area resident for most her life, she was a graduate of the former Parkesburg High School.  She was employed as a seamstress for the Parkesburg Dress Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1961.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. 

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Atglen Methodist Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 AM until the time of the service.
