Dorothy M. Reynolds, 81, of Cochranville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was the beloved wife of William L. Reynolds with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Fair Hill, MD, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Grace Martindell Moore. She graduated from the Elkton High School in 1948 and then went to work for the Cecil County Public Schools as a secretary, retiring in 1967 with 30 years of service.
Dorothy enjoyed the farm with her husband, going fox hunting, watching basketball, and listening to her husband's blue grass band. She also enjoyed taking walks with their little Boston Terrier.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by a brother, Charles S. Moore of Blue Ball, MD and two sisters, Emily M. Shoun of Elkton, MD and Anne M. Swan of Kemblesville, PA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth M. Diem and Miriam M. Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Cochranville Methodist Cemetery. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10-11 a.m.
