Donald J. Harvey, 93, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in West Chester, PA. He was the husband of the late Mildred "Millie" Harvey who passed away in 2010. Born in Saxton, Bedford County, PA, he was the son of the late James and Esther (Wyles) Harvey.
Don was a retired welder and worked for The Budd Company metal fabricator of Philadelphia and also as a plastic mixer for LNP Engineering Plastics of Exton, PA. He was a member of Wagontown Union Chapel serving as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid hunter and sportsman.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Dave) Grow, of Honey Brook, granddaughter, Marie (Tim) Angus, of James Creek, PA, great-grandchildren, Harrison and Hunter Angus of James Creek, PA, and siblings, Robert (Georgia) Harvey of Washington, Fred (Vicki) Harvey of Muson, PA, Paul (Eileen) Harvey of Bechteville, PA, and Mary Tiggins of Morgantown, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Wagontown Union Chapel, 463 W. Kings Highway, Coatesville, PA, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m.until service time. Interment to follow at Forks of The Brandywine Cemetery in Glenmoore, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Wagontown Chapel at the above address.
