Charles R. Steffy, 88, of Maple Farm Nursing Center of Akron, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015.  He was the husband of June (Fromm) Steffy with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.  

Born in Lenover, Pa., Charles was the son of the late Dora (Powers) and Ralph K. Steffy.  A resident of Atglen most of his life, he was a former member of Atglen Methodist Church.  He was employed by E.H. Keen and Son for 33 years and then as a Custodian for the Coatesville School District for 10 years.  

He enjoyed going to the Mountains with his nieces and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Rhinier, wife of Gerald, of Strasburg; two grandsons, Gregory Rhinier of Ephrata and Kevin Rhinier of Lancaster; and two great grandsons, Austin and Cody of Ephrata.  He was predeceased by his three siblings, Ralph E., Horace W. and Mary Trout. 

The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with visitation from 10 until 11 AM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Farm for their loving care and support.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles' memory to Maple Farm Nursing Center, 604 Oak St, Akron, PA 17501.
