Betty D. Buchanan, 92, of Sadsburyville, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was the wife of the late George Buchanan of Honeybrook. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jennie F. (Mazurkewicz) Duda Sr.
Betty was an area resident all of her life. She worked as a secretary for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and in the attendance office at the Coatesville School District. In her early years, she enjoyed and competed with her brother Joe in roller skating competitions and LOVED to sew & crochet. "Aunt Betty" was a mom to many dancers with her many hours of sewing costumes for dance shows for her neice Dina's dance school.
She is survived by a brother, Joseph (Lynne) Duda of Sadsburyville, nieces, Dina Gazzerro-Kinney (Mike) of Coatesville, Valerie Tate (Jeff) of Columbus GA, nephews, John (Regina) Polakovic, and Jim Groce, Ron (Nancy) Alexander and many more nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kingsway Independent Church, 55 Morris Lane, Coatesville, PA, 19320, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, Gap, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Kingsway Independent Church at the above address.
Family & Friends are invited to a mini luncheon at 1:00pm at the Dutch-Way Family Restaurant 365 Rt. 41 Gap, PA.
