Bernard Peter Grzywacz, 78, of Ronks, PA, passes away at his home on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  He was the husband of Judithann Sheridan Grzywacz for over 42 years.  He was born on May 12, 1945 at Montgomery County Hospital in Norristown, PA, to the late Peter and Eleanor (Wisniewski) Grzywacz.

Bernard was raised in Bridgeport, PA, and graduated from Bishop Kendrick High School in Norristown.  He was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridgeport.  He also attended Temple University in Philadelphia before serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.

He returned home and worked briefly for Alan Wood Steel Company in Conshocken, PA.  He then entered the Pennsylvania State Police and graduated from the Academy in Hershey, PA, in 1969, serving for 25 years in Avondale and Lancaster. After retiring in 1993,  he worked for  Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA, for 13 years.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles and camping with their RV at Oceanview, DE.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sandy Martini of Egg Harbor, NJ, Krista Keller of Wrightsville, PA, a step daughter, Michele Murdaugh of Parkesburg, PA, two stepsons, Michael Evans of Willow Street, PA, and Greg Evans of Denver, PA, 10 grandchildren; Jordyn, Alyssa, and Ryley Martini, Kayla Poole, Gavin Johnson, Katie and McKenna Keller, Mallory Evans, Danielle Bush and Emily Mullen, 4 great-grandchildren; Jacob and Lukas Bush, and Eva and Logan Mullen, a sister, Eleanor Galie of Schwenksville, PA, and a brother, Dr. Robert Grzywacz of Henderson, NV.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

I am so sorry about Bernie passing.  I rode patrol with him for years at Lancaster...I regret not being able to come to the service as I am already committed to going to a good friends funeral service here in Harrisburg the same day and time 1030 to noon at Hoovers funeral home in Hershey.
