Beatrice White Coleman

Beatrice White Coleman, 83, of Pocopson, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Pocopson Home of West Chester, PA. She was the wife of the late Edward Coleman. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Roy F. and Harriet Smith White.

Mrs. Coleman was an active member of the Mt. Zion AME Church where she served as a Steward and member of the Usher Board, Senior, Mass and J.B. Hill Choirs.

She is survived by three daughters; Joan W. Dickinson of Lancaster, Diane W., wife of John Wicks of Coatesville and Delores White of Coatesville, four siblings; Dorothy W. Denson of Parkesburg, Ellsworth White of Atglen, Vernon White of Christiana, Donald White of Parkesburg and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a son Stanley R. White and four siblings; Roy White, Jr., Edna Melendez, Vera White and Harold White.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 23, 2008 at 11:00am from the Mt. Zion AME Church, Mt. Zion Road, Atglen, PA followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:00am to the time of the service.
