Antonia Faith "Toni" Dickinson, 70, of Coatesville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 4th at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Edward S. "Pie Face" Dickinson III, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, Toni was the daughter of the late Margaret E. Walker Beckett and Frederick C. Beckett, Sr. A lifetime resident of Coatesville, Parkesburg, and West Chester, she was a 1968 graduate of CASH.

Toni was an active member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Atglen. She served as Church Secretary, past treasurer of the Evalina Hill Missionary Society, member of Women's Ministry, Kitchen Committee, Lay Committee, Anna Mary Hopkin Scholarship Committee, Cemetery Committee; she sang in Mass Choir and had her own Music Ministry of sharing church recordings.

She worked at Servistar as a material handler for 15 years and later at Walmart of Exton for four years.

In the words of her husband, Toni was his all-in-all. She was Shema’s reason why, Kim’s prototype, and Saaleha’s protector. From the time she was born, Toni was a pillar of strength in her family and community. She had a big heart that touched many people and never needed recognition for her acts of love.

Toni enjoyed creating ceramics, crocheting, reading books of all kinds and enjoyed playing slots at casinos. She liked watching The Young and the Restless, 25 Words or Less, Family Feud, and Price is Right. Toni was a poet and loved making bookmarks for any occasion to share with family and friends. She also had a pillow ministry.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Kim Dickinson (Robert) of Coatesville and Shema Dickinson (Rhiannon) of Landisville; six grandchildren and number one baby girl granddaughter, Saaleha, Jalil, JaQuan, Damond, Desmond, and Miguel; two siblings, Barbara Beckett of Coatesville and Sylvia Beckett of Delaware; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA with a visitation from 9 until 11 AM. Pastor Linwood Smith officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion AME Church and earmarked "AMH" so that the funds can support the Anna May Hopkin Scholarship Fund.

Condolences

Dear Family,

Sending you all my heartfelt condolences for our loss.  Toni touched my heart!  She was always there for a kind word or a helping hand.  She may not even know that I was watching.  I saw love in action in this fine Christian woman.  She was always willing to give of her time and talents to help those in need.  She knew how to take care of family and friends.  The love and compassion she showed for my mother and sister were remarkable.  I will never ever forget her and her husband's cheerful sacrifices to take care of Betty Hammond and Sharon Brandon.  She may be gone from this earthly plane, but no doubt she is sitting at the right hand of God.  An Angel just received her wings!

Dear Family,

From the hills of Rock Run to being the first graduating class from CASH, Toni was my true friend. We played together long before we knew about high school.  I never lost touch with her even though our career paths were different. Toni was kind and loving keeping me informed of what things were going on in Coatesville as I lived my life. She never complained about the wonderful life God had given her. One thing I knew for sure was that she loved the Almighty God and worked diligently for Him. She has earned her rest and is at peace!! Rest well my friend. We shared great times together and shall meet again.

Toni,

It was so difficult to hear the loss of someone who has been part of my life, ALL my life.  Coatesville Heights was one big family...Toni was ALWAYS  the same quiet, humble but caring. I will miss seeing you  & our quick catch ups at WalMart. To the tamily, it doesn't feel good and at a time as such & NO bible verse eases the pain, but take comfort in knowing God understands our hurts & tears.  I and my family will be praying for your heart and strength in the coming days.

It is sad to believe an angel on earth gained her wings to fly high above with Our Lord All Mighty. I have known Mrs. Toni since I was in highschool.  She was always lovig and yet firm.  She believed in the youth in Parkesburg and futhering your education.  I was blessed to have Mrs. Toni be that torch for me when I was in college.  Daily or weekly she sent encourging emails to help guide my direction.  She and Mr. Pie always encouraged my journey.  Mrs. Toni always said keep going.  Those emails came in handy because I struggled in school; her encouragement and light helped me on my path.  When I returned for my Masters Program she found out she was joyful.  She said your going to go far.  Last year I had the chance to see her briefly before I departed to return to Arizona.  She expressed how proud she was of me and how my career is taking a shift for the  better.  When I shared how I had to leave PA for the  betterment of my career; she said that was God. She reminded me you still have a Ph.D to get I did not forget.  In life we never why God planets the seeds of encouragement in our life until the plant grows.  Mrs. Toni was a seed grower.  She knew how to spiritually look at someone and help them grow in Christ.  Mrs. Toni I know you are celebrating with the Lord up yonder.  You will forever be a part of my journey and you will be forgotten.  To Mr. Pie and family! She was a warrior; she was strong; and a fighter.  She always spoke how she loved her family unconditionally.  May you continue to keep her strength and feel her presence.  Love and Respect - Teresita J. Tolbert

Bro. Edward, Sister Kim, Bro. Shema An emotional turn of events for me, first hearing of Sis. Toni illness, then hearing of her passing. My heart felt the pain of knowing that your heart pained. As the days have gone on, I have been comforted by knowing that Glory Land is for real, that the promises of God are Yeah and amen those promises are afforded to those who have accepted Christ, Your Wife, Mother is one of those people, I rejoice knowing that such a sweet, loving, caring God fearing Woman is now the recipient of God's promise, home in glory land.
You shared her with many, I'm blessed by being one.

Our prayers are for you, May God give you strength in this time, support in anyway we can.

May God bless and keep you wrapped in his loving arms.

Pastor B. Nichols
Deacon Spencer Nichols

To the family of Toni Dickinson,
It is with a heavy heart that we send our condolences out to your family. We miss and will continue to miss the presence of the truly lovable and kind hearted person that Toni was. Every morning at 6:30am sharp, we all knew Toni would be at "her register(14)" as she called it, ready to get her day started! Toni's job didn't stop at being one of our best cashiers, she also was the nurse, the speaker and a therapist for many of her fellow associates. We are truly honored and blessed to have known Toni. May she rest in eternal peace.
