Anna Irene Wharton, 92, of Modena, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at Harrison Senior Living in Christiana, PA. She was the widow of George W. Wharton. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late David F. and Ella Smith.
Irene lived in the area all her life and was a member of the Modena Church of God and the Westwood Fire Company.
She is survived by four children; Robert Ludwig of Willow Grove, Francis Newlin of Medford, OR., Betty Rivero of Michigan and David Wharton of Modena, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
