Edward E. Scott, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA. He was the husband of the late Susan Ebersole Scott, who died in 2022.  Born in Coatesville, PA, Ed was the son of the late J. Eaton Scott and Marguerite Bradley Scott of Parkesburg, PA.

Ed graduated from Horace Scott Senior High School in Coatesville. He attended Penn State University (ROTC), graduating in 1957. A true patriot, Ed served 21 years in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard, rising to the rank of Major. Following active duty, he was employed at the Lukens Steel Company in the Process Control Group until retiring in 1997. Ed also served for many years as the Highland Township Supervisor.

Ed was a member of the Doe Run Presbyterian Church, serving as treasurer for many years. He was a 62 year member of the Free Masons. A gentle and unassuming man, always ready with a bit of humor, he enjoyed hunting & fishing and his favorite pastime; playing bridge.

Ed is survived by his son, John E. Scott of New Holland, PA, his grandson, Russell E. Scott, and sisters Ruth Elaine Scott Nunn of New Holland, PA and Barbara Scott (Charles L.) Huston of Chester Springs, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister Marguerite "Peg" Richardson Martin.
