Lois Marie Devlin, 93, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward Devlin and Marguerite Mowery Devlin.
Lois was an area resident all her life. She attended the Parkesburg School and worked as a seamstress at the former Parkesburg Dress Factory on Strasburg Avenue until it burnt down. She then went to work at the former Patti-Tone, Inc. in Gap, PA. She was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church.
She is survived by a niece, L. Sandra Cook (Thomas) of Parkesburg, great-nieces, Candace (Corby) Decker and Megan Cook, great-nephew, Jason (Ashley) Cook, and five great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia 'Patsy" Hannum and Mary Gianotta.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 3:15 p.m. at Upper Octorara Cemetery, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 19, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg.
