Keith Robert Walton
Keith Robert Walton, 43, of Beaverton, OR, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his home. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Cynthia H. Walton of Canton, PA and the late Robert L. Walton, Jr.
Keith grew up in Parkesburg and was a 1998 graduate of Octorara High School. Over the years Keith lived in Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Washington, and found his home in Oregon. In 2018, Keith joined Boundless Assistive Technology and worked his way up to purchasing manager.
Keith was an avid gamer who could always be found fighting epic battles. He was intelligent and observant, good at everything he put his mind to, full of facts and quotes, and ready to fill in that thing at the tip of your tongue because he knew exactly what you meant. Generous in spirit, he was always ready with a good laugh, especially in the darkest times. He wouldn't want anyone to know this, but he was the nicest guy you could meet.
Keith is survived, in addition to his mother and Doc Crawford C. Holmes, by one sister, Allison Majcher, and her husband, John, of Honey Brook, PA; three nieces, Sarah, Emily, & Grace, and one nephew, Luke. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Verna Walton, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and special longtime friends, Amber & Ellie Baird.
Keith was preceded in death by loving maternal grandparents, Harold & Jean Hartshorne, and paternal grandfather, Robert Walton, Sr.
Keith supported Child's Play Charity, which is endowed by the gaming community and is devoted to improving the lives of pediatric patients in children's hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to https://childsplaycharity.org to find new ways to help children Play Games, Feel Better.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 5:30 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period from 4:30 PM until the time of the service.
The interment will be private at Upper Octorara Cemetery.
