Condolences

My heart is breaking for Brenda and the family. Knowing he’s with His Lord brings such comfort! Pastor Jon was an incredible Shepherd and teacher! It was such a blessing to see his joy the day we dedicated the beautiful new building in Hamlin as he never gave up on the desire he and the flock had to see this dream come to fruition. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” You will be missed Pastor Jon!

Thoughts and prayers with all of you. Not sure I could have made it through my hard time without you all. Seems like so long ago, yet seems like yesterday. May the Lord comfort you as He did and you did for me.

We certainly had hoped and pray that God would heal Pastor Jon, but God had other plans.  It’s not always easy to understand why, and I guess we don’t have to, as our faith is in God’s promises to us.  We appreciate all that Pastor Jon and Brenda did for us when they served at Galilean Baptist.  Mike and I were also uplifted and encouraged by Pastor’s devotions on Facebook.  May God be with his family as they navigate these stormy waters, knowing that God controls the wind and the waves.

I  remember Jon from when we were at B.B.C back in the early 70's. We were in the same suite at Shaffer Dormitory. I have kept in touch with

him over the years. The Lord has promised to be near us and will never forsake us and give strength.he will see you through this time in your

life. We will see Jon again is the hope we have in Christ .
