Lieng Nguyen

Lieng Nguyen, 89, died on March 17, 2022, with his family by his side in West Chester, PA.

Lieng was born on November 4, 1932, in Saigon, Vietnam to Dang and Xung Nguyen. He served as a major in the South Vietnamese Army and immigrated to the United States in 1975. 

He attended the University of Bridgeport in CT and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE) in 1982. He worked for Energy Research Corp in Torrington, CT and retired in 2000. 

His interests included family, gardening, and reading. He devoted much of his time and energy as a provider of his family. He was married to his wife, Jacqueline Nguyen, for 65 years until she passed away in January 2022.

Mr. Nguyen is survived by his 2 brothers, Thien Nguyen and Tien Nguyen; 2 sons and their spouses, Huy and Lan Nguyen, Hung and Huong Nguyen; 2 daughters and their spouses, Lien-Huong and Phuoc Le, Lehang and Donald Phan; and 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Wilde Funeral Home in Parkesburg, PA.
