Dear Hilma and family,

I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I met Jack many years ago working at Longenecker's pharmacy. Jack was one of those customers who told me exactly how he felt. We would always have conversations about practically anything. He always made me laugh when he was grumbling about something. He had a big heart deep down. Jack and Hilma were always one of my favorite customers. Hilma, I'll keep you in my prayers. Please know I'm thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Hilma sorry for your lost jack will be sorely missed. I remember all the things jack has told me about umpiring, and taught along the way for me to be a better umpire. I remember watching jack umpire in the west Chester adult. My prayers and thoughts are with your family at your time of need. May god lay his healing hand upon you and your family.

I live out of the area so news travels slow. I am very sorry to hear that Jack died. I met him on the Little League baseball field in the 1980's. Jack had a desire and gift to umpire games for our youth. He enjoyed the players from whatever team and interacted with the parent/coaches as both a fair but a stern umpire who also was a teacher to the coaches. I was one of those coaches that Jack taught. As I progressed through the years as Jack and I developed a friendship over baseball. When I was about done being a volunteer parent coach, it was Jack who encouraged and got me into being a PIAA Baseball Umpire. Jack was my assigner through those years until I retired and moved out of the area.
I will always have great memories of Jack and reflect on how he impacted my life.
Jack's service is done in this life but he fulfilled his mission by passing along wisdom, knowledge and community spirit.
