Leonardo M. "Lenny" Valmonte, 90, of Kinzers, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Erlinda Hizon Valmonte with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Seattle, WA and raised in Pasay City, Philippines, he was the son of the late Leo and Maria Valmonte and Dell Kelly. 

Leonardo was a Lancaster County resident for over 51 years. He will be fondly remembered for being the owner and operator of the Hungryman Restaurant of Gap from 1976 to 1998.

He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church of Parkesburg, PA.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Leo H. Valmonte and companion Donna Boyd of Kinzers, Lawrence H. Valmonte of Kinzers, Marie H. Valmonte of Burke, VA and Rachel H. Valmonte and husband Aicardo Zapata of Lancaster, seven grandchildren; Amanda, Elisha, Leo, Nyah, Noah, Christian, and Camille and one sister Dolores Peden of Palm Desert, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365. In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to Hospice of Lancaster

We  are blessed and honored that we were able to meet and spend time with Lenny. In that short time we could see and feel a great love he had for all of you and the beautiful respect and love you had for him. We know he was surrounded by this love and the love  of God that never fails as entered his new life in peace. May this love be with you all now and always.

My heart goes to the valmonte family!  Larry/Lawrence my friend and Ga Tech roommate. Larry,  I love and warmly remember the stories of your family, lancaster,PA,  and the hungryman diner. You conveyed the strength and love of your father,mother,and siblings to me when we were classmates. I always admire you and your family. Rest in peace Lenny.  You are a a great man and husband and father.
