I had the greatest honour meeting the whole family quite a few years back when I accompanied Kate-Lyn and her family on their visit. Although I spent a very small sliver of time in their lives, I have always held a fondness of those memories and how welcomed they made me feel, like I was part of the family.

Rest in peace, and may we meet again someday.

Mary, We are sorry to hear about Joe. He was one of the good guys. We will not be able to attend the services, Sheryl's health will not allow her to take long drives. If there was a way, we would be there. Again, Sorry about Joe. But at least his pain is gone.

Denise, through the years, you've shared so much about this great man, how he was a great father figure, husband to your mom and just overall, a great man. I used to get (gently) envious, as you had a dad and then, a step dad... two "dads" to love.  Of course, I was happy for you but, I felt it wasn't fair.

Then today I realized, you also are suffering to dad's lost... I can't imagine the pain. I wish I could take it away. You are one of my oldest friends and lord knows how you put up with me, but I'm here for you.

Mary: Almost as long as I've known Denise, I've known you. You don't know it but you were one of my role models of a women who is strong and independent. You also don't know but you were a role model for a woman who showed me that love exists. Through the years, via distance, I've seen you love your husband and kids and I am so lucky my friend Denise has you. I know you are in pain, maybe in shock... either way, you are in loss... and if there is anything I can do, I'm here.

To the family: There really are not words but know that energy does not die, it just changes form. Talk to him, I bet he hears you. xo

For many years Joe has been a very good friend and coworker. We spent many times laughing and joking with each other. To say Joe will be missed is an understatement, we understood each other and had many common goals, hobbies and loves. Joe my friend I can still hear your laugh as I shed tears knowing this is my farewell until we meet again. Love ya Brother, missing you! Rest in Peace my friend.

Brother, Jeff
