Kenneth A. Mabry, 85, of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Betty Jo (Phillips) Mabry, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, Ken was the son of the late Julia and Claude Mabry. He was a 1948 graduate of Downingtown High School.
He served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War.
He worked for PRR and Amtrak in the Eastern Corridor for 35 years retiring in 1990 as a signal foreman. He was a member of the CV Church of Christ in Lancaster.
Ken enjoyed the outdoors. He also was creative and enjoyed working with wood.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Pamela Mabry of Downingtown, Ken A. Mabry Jr. and wife Marlene of Parkesburg, Russell E. Mabry and fiance Vera of Ulysses, Pa., and Kevin S. Mabry and wife Sandy of Auburn, MA; two siblings, Clete Mabry and Derinda Tracy both of Lincoln, DE; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held from 9 until 10 AM. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, PA.
