Janet L. Crosson, 74, of Parkesburg, died on March 15, 2015, at the Tel Hai Retirement Community. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John Leslie Crosson and Elva Bowman Crosson Stumbaugh.
She graduated from Octorara High School and Widener College receiving a degree as a Paralegal and Lawyer's Assistant specializing in Litigation and Advanced Real Estate.
She was employed as a Recorder of Deeds by Chester County. She also volunteered at the Chester County Hospital from 1975 to 2009. Janet was a member of the Chris Penn Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Chester County Choral Society, the Parkesburg Zoning Hearing Board and she served as past president of the Historical Society of Salisbury Twp. She also attended the Parkesburg Baptist Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Parkesburg.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery in Atglen, Pa.
Viewing will be from 10 until 11am. Chris Penn Order of the Eastern Star services will be held at 10:45am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Parkesburg and the First Presbyterian Church of Parkesburg.

Sending sympathies to Janet's family. All of us ladies in West Chester, who were members of the Chester County Legal Secretaries Association will miss Janet. She was a strong member of our association and we all had lots of fun together. We reveled in her ghost stories and we had fun times at our weekend excursions for state-wide meetings. She was a leader in our "legal" world.
Sending prayers for comfort and peace
We were so sad to hear of Janet's passing. I knew her from the Parkesburg Baptist Choir. Her voice was strong and beautiful. I will always remember her passion for serving her Lord. I also saw her occassionally at Tel Hai where my father-in-law, Wilmer R. Taylor Sr. resides. Whenever we saw her, she would smile and greet us and would be excited to see us. Her smile was always genuine. I wish I had known earlier about her passing so that we could have attended her funeral. Praying for peace for her family and friends.
