Charles D. Keinard

Charles D. Keinard, 79, of Coatesville, passed away at his home on November 16, 2013.  He was the beloved husband of Carol B. Keinard with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. 

 
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George and Elsie Mann Keinard.  Charlie graduated from Scott High School in 1952 and then studied mechanical drawing at Spring Garden Institute. He was employed by Edge Wallboard in Downingtown, Turbo Research in Lionville, Lee Tire and Rubber in Conshohocken and Lukens Steel Co. in Coatesville.  
 
Charlie was a member of the Chester County Antique Car Club, the Cruisin' Classics, the Dutch Bunch and a faithful member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church and he served as Judge of Elections for West Brandywine Township. 
A self taught violin and trumpet player, Charlie enjoyed playing for family, friends and church functions. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars and model train collecting.
 
Charles is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Sandra L. Mann of Modesto, CA and her five children and their father, Stephen Williams and  Marilyn E., wife of Joseph Stauffer of  Honey Brook, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, George A. Keinard and a granddaughter, Tiffany Cleveland. 
 
 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 11am at the Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Road,  Coatesville, PA followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing at the church from 9 to 11am.

I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Keinard's passing. I have wonderful memories of the time spent at your house. He was one of the kindest men I ever knew, and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Carol,

I was shocked and deeply saddened when Ken Menge informed me of the sudden passing of Charlie. Dutch Bunch will not be same without him. I enjoyed our "car talk" sessions, getting the latest update on his current projects.
