John James Jacklitch, Jr., 92, of Ronks, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Devon Manor Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Bowman Jacklitch with whom he shared 14 years of marriage, and the widower of the late Majorie Swanson Jacklitch, who passed away in 1995.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Edna Kemp Jacklitch and John James Jacklitch, SR. He was employed as a Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineer by General Electric in King of Prussia, PA.
He is survived by four children: Marjorie L. Illingworth, wife of Ronald, of North Pole, Alaska, James Jacklitch, husband of Bertha, of Pasadena, Ca., John R. Jacklitch, husband of Lily, of Elyria, Ohio and Charles N. Jacklitch of Branson, Missouri; one sister, Mariam Scarborough of Newark, De.; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Gwynne, Peggy, Kevin, Elizabeth, Andrea, Timothy and Jeremy; 12 grandchildren; and stepchildren, Calvin Beam of Chattanooga, Tn., and Scot Beam, husband of Joan, of Parkesburg and step granddaughter, Mandee.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Upper Octorara Church, 1121 Octorara Trail Road, Parkesburg, Pa., with the Rev. William Kelly officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church from 2 until 3 PM. Interment will be held at a separate date in the Birch Hill Cemetery of Fairbanks, Alaska.
