Fond Memories of your parents
Hello, I hope I have the right family.
I am the daughter of Bev and Larry Taylor, who owned the junk yard in Gum Tree over 30 years ago. If I have the right family, your Mom used to be my bus driver when I was little and your Dad used to go to the races with my Dad. I remember how kind your parents were to my little sister, Wanda "Beanie" and me whenever Daddy would stop by to chat with your Dad. I loved the look on my Dads face whenever he was gabbing with his good friends. It seemed his relief from the business. Your Mom was a very sweet lady, always had a kind word for us. When kids would make fun of us for living in a junk yard, she would put them in their place. They both hold a special place in my heart. Dad passed in 1991 and Mom in 1999.
I now live in WV and try to check on my parents old friends from time to time. My sisters and I have so many fond memories of all of the folks that used to come to the junk yard.
I am so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to let go, but rest assured their love will live on forever in the hearts of many. May god bless you.

Hi Gail,
Yes you do have the right family. I can remember going over to the junk yard with my Dad to see your Dad about finding some part that he needed or just to chat. I heard "Bev & Larry" mentioned many times in our house. I know my parents considered them friends. I'm sorry to hear about their passing but know they are with mine now discussing cars and old times. Thanks for your wonderful memories of our Mom. It has helped us through this difficult time. Take care and thank you.

Jay, I just wanted to let you know how saddened i was to hear of your moms
passing. I always enjoyed seeing you and your mom when you would bring her to the office. It is not very often that you see a son so attentive and kind to his mother. You treated her with so much love and respect!
Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers
We all loved the lighthouse books she brought to us!
Such a thoughtful lady!

Diane, Thank you for your kind thoughts about Mom. She loved to travel and see lighthouses. Never saw a lighthouse she did'nt like! After a trip to California I read where we could have stayed overnight at Pidgeon Point Light near San Francisco. How cool would that have been! Thanks to you and everyone at the office for the great care that you gave Mom over the years. We have truly met some wonderful people over the years. Also thanks for the very nice card and prayers, I will stop in and say hello sometime, Jay
