Jack was a wonderful man. Always with a smile and kind word, and a heck of a dancer. I have memories of him I will treasure.

Unc, it's been a while since we talked and seen each other, but you have always been in my thoughts. Being so far away from Home, my thoughts always looked to those faces that most reminded me of being back home and yours was always there at the top of the List.

You were a Friend, a Mentor and a constant source of Inspiration.

I love You, and will miss you dearly.

Love,

Bob

Grandpop,
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Thanks for all of the wonderful memories. I’m glad your great grandsons had the chance to meet you and have memories from the time they spent with you over the past few years. You will be missed, but never forgotten. It is comforting to know that you have been reunited with Grandmom and Great Grandmom. I, as others, toast you with a shot of Tullamore Dew.
Love, Anne

And just at the moment when someone says, "There, he's gone" there are others watching and waiting to excitedly shout "Here he comes!". Don't know where I once read that but it seems so appropriate. Hope they have a Glen Miller cassette somewhere up there.

Being your "adopted daughter" was a privilege, Jack. We and our children were blessed to have been considered part of your family. Thanks for caring and sharing.

Oh, Uncle Jack how I will miss those words. You were a great dancer and a wonderful person to talk too. I will always cherish the times our families spent together and growing up there were many. Now, you are with Mom, Dad, Aunt Julia, your Mom and your daughter Linda. Jan, I pray that the memories you and Uncle Jack have shared together will help you through your time of sorrow.

Love your niece,
Linda

Although we were not really related I always thought of you as my Uncle Jack. Spending time with you and Aunt Julia at the Held's house are some of my fondest memories from my childhood. I was lucky that Mary was willing to share you with me. I'm sure that the four of you are now enjoying your highballs while listening to the big bands play. Now you get to dance forever. God bless.
