David C. Pratt, 75, of Gordonville, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Brenda K. Carolus Pratt with whom he shared 32 years of marriage with. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Herman and Janet Gregg Pratt.

Dave was an area resident all his life and a 1966 graduate of the former S. Horace Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed by the former Cyclop Global Packaging Solutions in Downingtown, PA as a line leader.

John Steczak, 89, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, in West Chester, PA.  He was the husband of the late Ruth Ann Armentrout Steczak, who had been married for sixty-two years.  Born in Coatesville on June 20,1935, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary Adams Steczak.

Dean Blando, of Valley Township, PA, passed away on September 3rd due to complications from open-heart surgery and pneumonia. He was 50 years old.

Dean is survived by his wife Erin Keough Blando, sons Dean Blando Jr. and Christian Bernhardt, grandchildren  Natalia Rose Blando, Dean Blando III, Giovanni Blando and Bayley Bernhardt, siblings Vincent Blando (Kim), Nicole Blando, and Paul Blando (Scarlett). He was the beloved uncle to Gabriella Blando, Zachary Blando, Brandon Blando, David Anthony Rolon, Alicia Caguana, and Lily Blando.

Eva J. Jones, 77, of Wrightsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in Mt. Joy, PA at Hospice and Community Care peacefully surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of Chester R. Jones for over 55 years.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Vail (Ward) Henson.

Cheryl Ann Balzarano, 64, of Atglen, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Marvin Balzarano with whom she shared 13 years of marriage with. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Arnold and Shirley Trumbower Arnold.

Cheryl was an area resident all her life and a 1977 graduate of the Coatesville Area High School. She was employed, for over 34 years, by the Krapf Busing Company as a school bus driver.

Tyler Blake Howard, 29, of Kinzers, PA, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, September 1, 2024.  Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of James A. and Kirsten Murray Howard.

Tyler was a graduate of Pequea Valley High School and was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Parkesburg, PA.  He was a self-employed IT consultant.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, Aiden Howard, and brothers, Zachery, Richard, and Joseph.

Ralph H. Binder, 97, of East Fallowfield, passed away on September 1, 2024 at St. Martha's Manor in Downingtown, PA.  Born in Millvale, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Allie Bauer Binder. He was married for 63 years to his loving wife, Dorothy Smith Binder. 

He served in the US Army of Occupation immediately after World War II as a truck driver and he continued to be employed as a truck driver for many years with the Borough of Millvale, PA.

Sears, 87, of Gap, PA, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, in Quarryville, PA at the Quarryville Presbyterian Home.  She was the wife of the late Frank Sears who passed away in 2004.  Born in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Margaret (Davis) Pierce.

Lewis C. "Skip" Myers Jr., 77, of Pomeroy Heights, Coatesville, PA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, in West Chester, PA.  He was the husband of the late Susan Kuresko Myers who passed away in March.  Born in West Chester he was the son of the late Lewis Sr. and Dorothy Sprecher Myers.

Skip is survived by a daughter, Tonya (Michael) McMillan of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Kaitlyn Myers of Coatesville, Morgan Meeks of Coatesville, and Kathryne (Derek) Pinkerton of Stevens, PA, and five great-grandchildren, and his brother Gary (Paula) Myers of Coatesville.
