Wonda Sue (Bennett) Sturges

Wonda Sue (Bennett) Sturges, 54, of Pine Grove passed away at Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Suzanne L. Runningbear and the late William E. Bennett. She was the companion of Edward Nolet with whom she shared a 15-year relationship.

After her formal education she went on to serve as a self-employed Pastry Chef, before her recent illness. She loved being outside, gardening, baking, her fur babies, beading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived in addition to her partner by four children: Cathy Dickens and husband Brian Gray of Pine Grove, Robert Sturges of North Carolina, Steven Sturges of Gap, PA, Faith Sturges and companion Michael Dobrzynski of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, four siblings: Sharon L. Rodriguez of Pottsville, PA, Angenette L. Meyer of Pennsville, NJ, Deanna M. Eastridge of Pine Grove, and Robert C. Eastridge of Beverly Hills Florida.

She is preceded in death by her son Shawn Cody Sturges (Sweet Badger) and her granddaughter River Moon Sturges.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 10 AM until the start of the service. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville directly following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Wonda’s honor to help defray funeral expenses.
