Wilma G. Hall, 86, of Quarryville passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Born in Lansing, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Arley Smyth Carpenter and Ada (Campbell) Carpenter. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Troy R. Hall with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
She attended school in Marion, Virginia, and went on to serve as a homemaker, being a supportive wife and devoted mother. Her love of reading was contagious, passing it into her children. She was a member of Welcome Home FWB Church located in BelAir, Maryland, where her husband served as a pastor for many years. She was usually involved in some kind of church ministry throughout her life.
She is survived by four children: Troy Michael Hall, Deborah K. Hall, Sandra E. Wagner wife of Bryan, and Veronica F. Kuhn wife of Brian. Additionally, she is survived by 21 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as by two siblings: Josephine Hall and Delmer Carpenter and wife Kate, Wilma’s “special sister”.
She is preceded in death by two siblings: Hazel Shelton and Coy Carpenter and by a beloved grandson, Alexander Ward.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, 19365. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
